I was 20, Dan was 21

How did your partner (or you) propose?
We were on holiday in Egypt and we were going on a sunset cruise to dolphin watch. The boat had 3 decks and we all had a lovely meal and went to watch the dolphins. Dan took me up to the top deck, which was empty and we sat and watched the sunset, then kneeling down, he pulled the ring out of his pocket (he'd asked me if I'd marry him before but said he'd do it properly when he'd got me a ring) and he asked me to marry him.

Who did you share the news of your engagement with first?
We told our parents first and then our friends when we got back from holiday.

Describe your ring.
It's a gold ring with a square diamond in the centre, beautiful!

Did you help choose the ring?
Yes, Dan saw it first and then took me to see it to see if I liked it.

Did you have an engagement party?
Yes we did.

If so, where was it held?
It was held at a small local pub and hotel for family and friends.

How many people were invited?
Roughly 50-70

When do you plan to marry?
We're getting married on 13th June 2009

What are you looking forward to the most about planning a wedding?
Absolutely everything! We started planning things and I'm loving it. Even Dan is getting quite involved and we're really enjoying it.
