Former weathergirl welcomes baby daughter

Former weathergirl welcomes baby daughter 20/03/2008

Former GMTV weathergirl Sally Meen has given birth to a baby girl.

Along with her husband Russ Lindsay, Sally welcomed Tilly Jennifer Lindsay into the world on Friday morning.

She was born at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital by a medically-advised caesarean.

Present at the birth was Anthea Turner – who will be one of the baby's godparents along with her husband Grant Bovey.

Russ already has two children by his late first wife, Blue Peter star Caron Keating.

A spokeswoman for the couple said: "Charlie, 13, and Gabriel, 11, are overjoyed at the arrival of their little sister."

Russ and Sally were married in 2006 after being introduced by Anthea and Grant.

The mother of Russ's late wife, Gloria Hunniford, told the Daily Mail that she was pleased about the new arrival, saying "new life into any family is wonderful".
