Coleen and Wayne planning reception on a yacht

Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin have spent £300,000 on their wedding reception venue, it has been reported.

According to the Daily Mirror, the celebrity couple have hired the world's largest charter yacht - the three-deck Alysia.

The wedding ceremony is to take place in a 16th century castle overlooking the Italian Riviera.

An insider told the newspaper: "The yacht is the perfect party venue and really luxurious. It comes with a jacuzzi, honeymoon suite, chess room and helicopter pad."

"At midnight, £50,000 of fireworks will be released and guests will toast the newlyweds with pink champagne," the source said.

The mole added that Rooney has joked that he will serenade his bride on the baby grand piano aboard the yacht.

McLoughlin recently told Now magazine that she is looking forward to spending some quality time with Rooney on the honeymoon.

He has spent his stag weekend celebrating with friends and family in Ibiza.
