Davenport gives birth to baby girl

Three times Grand Slam champion Lindsay Davenport has given birth to her second child.

The former tennis world number one and her husband Jon Leach welcomed their daughter Lauren Andrus Davenport Leach at the weekend in California, her spokesman Tony Godsick confirmed.

The couple already have a two-year-old son, Jagger.

"Lindsay and Lauren are doing great, and Jonny and the other man of the family, Jagger, Lauren's brother, are ecstatic," Tony said.

In December last year the 33-year-old announced she was pulling out of the 2009 Australian Open after discovering she was pregnant.

Her return to tennis is still not certain and she has not spoken about it. She was last seen in action at the US Open in 2008.

In June 2007, Lindsay made a comeback just three months after she gave birth to her first child and won three of her first four tournaments.
