Lindsay 'paid for marking birthday'

Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan was paid around £46,000 to host her own pre-birthday party by a restaurant in Las Vegas, it has been reported.

The MGM Grand paid the actress, who turns 23 on Thursday, to enjoy a pool-side bash at its Wet Republic facility last weekend, according to New York gossip column PageSix.

Lindsay also posed for photographers during the event, reportedly as part of the contract, and she changed her bathing costume five times through the party.

She was also there to launch her new tanning line Sevin Nyne. However, the actress's celebrity friends and her on/off girlfriend Samantha Ronson were not present at her early birthday celebration.

It has been speculated that Lindsay will host a private party for her family and friends.
