TV couple marks 25 years together

A couple who featured in one of the first fly-on-the-wall documentary series in the week leading up to their wedding is celebrating their silver jubilee.
Karen and Marc Adam-Jones shot to stardom with the hugely popular TV series The Marriage, which followed the couple starting the week before their wedding and for a year after they tied the knot.
Broadcast on BBC in 1986, the series cast the Cardiff couple into the limelight and attracted nearly 14 million viewers a week.
Twenty-five years and many ups and downs later, Karen said, " It doesn't seem like 25 years" to which Marc quipped: "It feels like 50!"
Cameras followed nurse Karen and Marc, a rugby player, through 1984 and returned once more this year to find them still together with their four children - Nia, 22, Sara, 20, Cerys, 18, and William, 16.
Things seemed set to crash when Marc went on a rugby trip to Scotland with a group of friends which included his ex-girlfriend, without telling Karen.
But revisiting the episode on BBC Radio Wales, Marc admitted he was stupid: "People just thought I was stupid and people were correct. You don't do something like that so early in your marriage.
"It showed little thought for Karen and just my own self importance and my ego."
