Prince William could marry in 2012
16/11/2009
Prince William could marry his girlfriend of six years Kate Middleton in 2012, it has been reported.
A Royal Wedding has become the talk of Buckingham Palace and it could be held alongside the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the Mail on Sunday was told.
Though William has not proposed to Kate yet, a source said that the Queen has privately expressed her delight in the two getting married around the same time as her diamond celebrations.
The Jubilee celebrations have been planned well ahead, but William's wedding had not been on the cards earlier.
The Queen has asked that she is not "overburdened" with official duties and travelling in that year, with reports also suggesting that she planned to transfer several duties to her children as well as Princes William and Harry.
The date also coincides with the year when William turns 30, the age he had said he would like to marry.
The Prince completes his RAF training in September next year.
