David Schwimmer confirms engagement

Former Friends and Band of Brothers star David Schwimmer has announced his engagement to his British girlfriend Zoe Buckman.

The 43-year-old American, who has been dating Zoe for the past three years, is said to have popped the question last week.

Both David and Zoe, 24, who is a photographer, will be walking down the aisle for the first time.

The pair first met at a restaurant in London where Zoe was working as a waitress. David was in town directing the Simon Pegg movie Run Fatboy Run.

The couple are now living in Chicago and working on stage show Trust, which has been co-written and co-directed by David - who is best-known for his role as Ross Geller in Friends.

The play, which had its world premiere last weekend, is being made into a movie starring Clive Owen.
