Pre-nups & wedding insurance: the wedding buyer's guide

Romance aside, you need to think about what to do if things go wrong.

When your head's in the clouds and you're looking forward to the happiest day of your life, the last thing you want to think about is things going wrong. But it’s a sad fact that things sometimes do, and you need to be prepared for every eventuality. For starters, you need to think about what can go wrong in the planning stages of your wedding. If your caterer goes bankrupt, your venue double-books or your engagement ring is stolen, wedding insurance will protect you.

And while it seems impossible to contemplate during this happy time, the dreaded D-Word may be a real possibility -- one in three marriages in the UK end in divorce. Although they’re not yet legally binding, a pre-nuptial agreement could help prevent malevolent court wranglings if it all goes wrong.

So have a look at this confetti guide to insurance and pre-nups and make sure your fingers don’t get burned!
