No adult really wants to appear at a wedding dressed the same as a toddler. Children in identical dresses can look adorable, but if there are to be adult attendants too it is usually best to contrast their outfits with those of the children rather than try to match them!

A free hand...

Giving your bridesmaids a totally free hand in choosing their dresses will probably just give them a big headache. Just as you want them to be comfortable with what they are wearing they will also want to find something that you’re happy with.

It’s always best to use common sense, and just a few guidelines such as “strappy styles only” or “no pink” or “no dresses above the knee”, can point them in the right direction and ensure that everyone is happy with the final look.
