Atina and Steve

I'd been hinting for ages and I was getting rather impatient! We had talked about getting married at some point but Steve hadn't actually proposed. He'd been dragging me around jewellery shops for ages so I knew it was going to happen but I didn't know when!
We often go away to the Lake District (mainly to get some peace as our mobile phones don't work too well there!). We booked in to our favourite hotel for three nights and were taking it easy.

On the second day we decided to have a drive over to Grasmere. We started walking around the riverside path and spotted a duck on the river so we sat down on a bench to watch it.

Steve then pulled out a platinum diamond ring and (finally) popped the question!

Of course I said yes and instantly burst into tears!

We've booked the venue for our wedding and set a date of 2 June 2007.
