Claire and Ben

After six months of planning, Ben and I were all set for our holiday through California and New York. We had the most amazing time walking along beaches, rock climbing in forests and just enjoying quality time together.

We had been in New York for two days with me dragging Ben around the shops while he tried not to complain! That evening we planned to go to a very romantic restaurant, but before that we wanted to see the city by night from the top of the Empire State Building. We arrived at the top and were enjoying the amazing views of the city when it started to snow. Just at that moment Ben got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was completely blown away, but managed to get out a 'yes' amongst the kisses, as he slipped the most beautiful ring on my finger. He had spent the past six months having it designed and specially made by a friend - I guess the holiday wasn't the only thing he'd been planning!

We're now planning an engagement bash and I can't wait to be able to call him my husband!
