We got engaged whilst on holiday in Thailand. Sounds romantic? Read on...

It was in a Japanese Karaoke Bar, at 1am in the morning, in our hotel which happened to be in the red light district of Bangkok, to the sound of 'Feelings' sung by a drunken Japanese man. I still don't know if this is what inspired the proposal!

On my saying yes, we ordered Champagne, following which the bar staff decided to play all the most cheesey love songs they had. It was quite romantic in a very cheesy, funny sort of way.

And we had the mother of all hangovers when we had to fly out Bangkok airport only five hours later!
