Jeannette and Dave

I had dropped hints to Dave for nearly a year that I wanted to get engaged, and every time we discussed it, he said he didn't know what the rush was!
As my Birthday/Christmas/valentines day/Easter etc came I thought he was going to propose and so did both families, but no sign of a proposal came.Time went on and I suppose I gave up hope of getting a proposal from Dave,but on Monday 7 February I was sitting down watching my favourite soap "Coronation Street", the adverts came on and out of the blue Dave turnedround to me and said, "We can go and get you a ring on Saturday if you want?" I shrieked and ran round the house for ages screaming, much to the bewilderment of our two cats Scrumpy and Jack!
Not the traditional proposal I know, but it was romantic as it happened in the middle of my favourite soap!
The wedding is next September 2001.
