| How and when did you meet? We met in the Red Lion pub in Holmes Chapel when I was on a girly night out. How old are you both? I'm 26 and Chris is 25. Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose? Chris proposed on a plane at 36,000 ft when we had just entered Greek airspace on our way to Mykonos two summers ago. Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do? Yes. I had a great hen in Leeds. We had pampering treatments in the afternoon and then went for a Mexican at night. This was followed by dancing until the early hours. I had a work hen too - heaven and hell theme. The boys went for a meal at Belleview dog track. How did your groom help with the wedding planning? Yes. He helped me fold and stick lots as I made the menus and table plan myself. Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you? Yes. Used forum to get advice and ordered a few bits. Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order? Bought online. Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it I bought it from the confetti cafe! It is ivory with burgundy flowers down the bodice and a burgundy lace up back. I felt gorgeous in it. Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear? Yes. Samantha from university and Jessica whom I have known since I was born. They wore silver/grey short a-line dresses bought from confetti cafe too. They looked gorgeous. Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear? His two brothers were best men as he is a triplet. They wore tuxedos with burgundy cummerbunds and bow ties. The ushers were Matt, David, John and Errol. Did you have a civil or religious ceremony? Religious. Where did you hold your ceremony? St Luke's Church Holmes Chapel. Where did you hold your reception? The Cottage Restaurant and Lodge, Allostock Did you have any special wedding transport? I was taken to church in a vintage Jag driven by a family friend. We also had a red London bus to take the guests to the reception. How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list? 94 and they all came to the whole day. Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style? We had ivory, silver and burgundy. How did you incorporate this in to your table settings? Single burgundy anthuriums on the tables with burgundy and silver confetti. Did you give your guests favours? Yes. The ladies had a little bottle of rose wine and the men had scratch cards. Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist? The florist was Lisianthus in Middlewich. They were fab. My bouquet was black baccara roses and ivory roses with anthuriums and aspidistra leaves. The roses had diamante pins in too. The BMs had round posies made from the same roses and the men had single black baccara rose buttonholes. The florist also did two pedestals for the church and bay trees for the church door. What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering? The venue did the catering. We had a salad of chicken and avocado with sour cream dressing and toasted almonds to start followed by a hot beef carver buffet. We had a chocolate fountain for dessert. What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it? A three tiered chocolate creation from Waitrose with cointreau in it. Highly recommended! Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening? A disco - he was fab! The dance floor was full from 9pm until 1am. Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with? John lewis Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with? First night was spent at the venue. We then went to St Lucia for 10 nights at Sandals Halcyon Beach. This was fantastic - booked through Going Places. What was your most memorable moment of the day? Having the front door open when my mum and bridesmaids left for the church and hearing the bells ringing. Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides? No - enjoy every minute and do things your way. |
