Grace Kelly tops stylish bride poll

Hollywood screen icon Grace Kelly has been voted the most stylish bride of all time, in a recent poll.

The actress married Prince Rainier of Monaco in a glitzy ceremony in 1956.

Describing the occasion, designer Oscar de la Renta said: "On her wedding day, Grace Kelly gave new meaning to the word 'icon'. Her whole look, from the regal veil to the feminine lace details and the conservative gown, made her an ageless bride."

Wedding magazine Conde Nast Brides carried out the survey which also included some surprises.

British glamour girl Jordan was ranked eighth in the poll, despite many describing her pink meringue Barbie-style gown as 'chav-tastic'. The highest ranking Brit was Princess Diana when she married Prince Charles in 1981.

Nicole Kidman and Jackie Onassis were second and third respectively.
