How much petal confetti do I need?
Confetti sells a stunning range of petals including rose, delphinium and hydrangeas.
What kind of petals should I buy?
Delphinium petals
Our delphinium petals are entirely natural no artificial drying or colouring is used in their preparation, allowing them to biodegrade as naturally as blossom.
Real freeze dried rose petals
Our rose petals are freeze dried to keep them looking natural and fresh, they can be used as throwing confetti or for sprinkling on tables and to create or line a path or aisle. These are real rose petals which have been preserved. They are biodegradable and will not stain.
This technique allows the petals to be vividly coloured and retain their softness. These petals make wonderful throwing confetti and can also be used to create a carpet, or path of flowers.
Rose petals
We stock these in a few sizes, one perfect for handbags and one for table displays. These petals are dehydrated and then re-hydrated with a colorant and preserver. This gives them a soft texture and makes the petal last indefinitely. They are not colour fast and dark colours can stain. All rose petals (including fresh petals) will stain unless freeze dried.
Quantity required for throwing confetti
Large Rose Petals (150g box) contains throwing confetti for 20 confetti cones.
A 2 litre box of freeze dried Rose Petals will fill 10 of confetti cones.
Delphinium petal boxes contain approximately 25 handfuls.
You can also purchase throwing confetti in ribbon handled bags for your wedding party and guests.
Quantity required to cover reception tables
A 150 g box of rose petals will decorate approximately 8-10 tables depending on how thick you need a scattering.
Hydrangea petals are boxed the same as the 150g rose petals and will cover slightly more.
A 2 litre box of freeze dried petals will cover 5-7 tables.
Quantity required to decorate a large area or cover a path
A pint of petals will decorate one square foot and three pints will decorate one square meter, with a good covering of petals if you want a more sprinkled look please reduce the quantities of petals required by half.
Petal care
Petal care
All petals must be kept air tight and away from moisture and sunlight to preserve the colour and texture.
We recommend buying them no more than a few months in advance and storing them in the bottom of a wardrobe until needed.
We also sell fabric petals these will cover approx 8 tables. These are not colour fast.

All about favours
In the UK we know them as wedding favours. Other common names from around the world include bombonieres, bridal favours or simply favours.
The custom of giving wedding favours dates back to early European history where they were given to celebrate marriages, birthdays and christenings by the wealthy aristocrats of the period.
Meaning
The giving of wedding favours to your guests symbolises the Bride’s acknowledgement of each friend and relative who shares her special day. They are a beautiful thank you and keepsake.
Traditionally, wedding favours are made using 5 sugared almonds wrapped up in an attractive cover either in the form of delicate lace nets or elegantly designed boxes.
Each of the 5 sugared almonds contained in all Wedding Favours symbolise: - Health, Wealth, Happiness, Long Life and Fertility.
Now the emphasis is very much on the individual wedding and matching favours to the overall wedding theme and wedding couple. We also offer several personalised favours too that are unique.
All about cameras
Capture all of those special moments that a professional photographer may miss. Confetti offers five distinctive colours in our camera range.
All Confetti cameras are ISO 400. They all have flash and are 24 exp + 3 free exposures = 27 exp. unless stated they are all colour films.
Hint for camera usage: Allow the flash time to warm up; a light on the top of the camera indicates if it is ready.
The advantages of Confetti cameras
- Coordinating colours with products
- Coordinating designs.
- Capture reportage style pictures of the big day.
- Camera cards to coordinate.
With so many disposable cameras on the market, why buy a camera from Confetti? Simple, we offer the highest quality film and a wide choice of great colours and designs.
All our cameras come equipped with:
- 24 exposure 400 ISO colour film
- a simple and easy to use built-in flash
We strongly recommend that disposable cameras are not used as the only source of photography on your wedding or celebration day.

Wedding dress boxes
It's important to preserve the precious memories of your wedding day. The wedding dress needs careful attention after the day to keep it damage free. With this in mind, Confetti has a range of boxes to preserve and protect your dress.
Why we recommend them…..
- They protect your dress from sunlight and dust which cause most damage over time. The packaging lets the fabric breath unlike plastic covers.
- The Wedding Dress Box is made from specially milled pH neutral board, which means it does not contain acid or alkali. Most items around us, such as wood, cardboard of a normal box, dyes in fabrics, all contain acid. If a wedding dress is in contact with such items, the acid will affect the fabric and cause “yellowing” or discolouration to appear after several years. The Wedding Dress Box, combined with the acid free tissue will provide a pH neutral and safe environment in which to keep your dress.
- Unlike plastic covers The Wedding Dress Box allows the fabrics of the dress to breathe. Plastic covers can have a harmful effect on your dress over a long period of time. The box protects from light and dust which can fade or mark the dress, and its strong durable board and paper can provide excellent protection against any untoward accident.
- Because The Wedding Dress Box is the most beautiful and romantic way that you will find to preserve your wedding dress, there is no longer a need to store in the attic. Your Dress Box can be kept as a pretty feature in the bedroom, and this in itself will keep your dress in a more stable temperature and reliable environment.
DO's
1) Do have the dress cleaned, by a dry cleaner that specialises in cleaning wedding dresses. Cleaning removes stains that may show later on and cleaning fluid can be an insect deterrent.
2) Follow simple sensible rules; store away from light, heat, damp, etc.
3) Always store in a pH neutral medium - with tissue paper that is acid free.(Normal tissue paper will become acidic, even if in a non acid free box, and would need to be changed regularly)
4) A Wedding Dress Storage Box needs to be sturdy enough to eliminate light, protect from dust and accident, be of a breathable material i.e. not plastic, and be pH neutral i.e. contain no acid or alkali.
5) Keep you’re the Wedding Box in a warm dry spare room that has no history of insects (NOT attic) and insect damage, damp etc will be totally minimised.
DON'T's
1) Do not store your wedding dress long term in plastic dress covers. They are suitable for hanging the dress before the wedding, but not for long term storage;
a) |
They let in light that can fade the fabric. |
|
b) |
They do not allow for changes in humidity: in extreme cases this will cause condensation and mould. |
|
c) |
PVC covers will disintegrate after several years and particles may drop onto the fabric of the dress. |
2) Do not store in a normal cardboard box. Unless made with special pH neutral board, all boxes contain acid that passes into the dress fabric causing discolouration / yellowing.
3) Wardrobes, drawers, suitcase linings, colour dyes in clothes, will all have an effect on the purer fabrics of a wedding dress if it lies next to it. It is always best to separate a wedding dress from any other item and to surround it with an acid free medium.
4) NEVER wrap the wedding dress in BLACK tissue paper. All coloured tissue paper contains dye which will affect the dress. Place the dress in a genuinely dark place, and tissue paper should be white and acid free.
5) Although OK short term, don't hang a dress on a hanger long term, to avoid stress on the seams and shape.
6) Never Store the dress in the attic. All sorts of disasters such as a leaking roof, general damp, and insects can affect a dress in the attic, even if it is well protected!
