Couple wed at Prague Airport
28/08/2007
Choosing the venue for your wedding often takes a lot of time and consideration, and for most couples it is important that the setting for their nuptials is as romantic as possible.
One young couple from the Czech Republic had a very interesting location for their wedding that also happened to be extremely special and romantic for them.
After winning an all expenses paid wedding in a competition run by easyJet, Miloslava Vopelkova and Robert Hruska decided to tie the knot in Prague Airport.
The couple have travelled around Europe a lot, both for work and to study, and as a result felt that the hub would be a very apt place for them to say 'I do' as it reflected their long-distance relationship.
Bride Miloslava said: "Travelling for jobs and studying separated us in the past and we even said that we were seeing one another mainly at the airport. Prague Airport was for us a place of farewells, short kisses, a place that often divided us for long periods of time.
"That is why a wedding at the airport is the right thing for us. What divided us in the past will now join us forever."
And a spokesman for easyJet added: "We wish Miloslava and Robert happiness in their lives together and hope they will continue with their passion for travel. Who knows? Perhaps the next event will be the first ever christening at an airport."
The couple got married on August 17th and then jetted off on honeymoon to various romantic cities in Europe including Paris and Barcelona.
