My question is really about my step daughter-to-be who will be a bridesmaid along with my 11 year old daughter. My step-daughter-to-be is very large in the bust department – 38H. I am struggling to find a style which I feel will suit her and as her dad says “not be revealing”. I think her body shape is rectangle although she is broad of shoulder. Any ideas gratefully received.

This is such a common problem! Don’t worry, the current trend to choose a colour for your bridesmaids and then let them select a dress most suited to their figure shape will really help you out here! There are so many choices available, and your daughter-in-law may know what suits her frame best.  If not, consult my advice for finding A Dress for Every Body Shape. For some bridesmaid dress ideas and inspiration please visit the Bridesmaid Showcase and for dresses of all shapes and shades, I recommend Dessy. Alternatively, if you would like your bridesmaids in a similar style, a bias cut dress with a cowl neck will suit both shapes whilst remaining sophisticated without being too revealing.
