I’ve been told that it’s traditional to decorate the bedroom of the bride and groom on their first night. Is this correct?
Decorating the bridal suite can be fun but I think that there are a few important things that you should remember.
1) Make sure that whatever you are going to do, you get permission from the hotel first. You don’t want to end up with a big cleaning bill!
2) The bride and groom will have had a very tiring and emotional day and probably just want to collapse into bed. Make sure that it’s not too hard for them to do that! Decorate the room nicely, perhaps rose petals sprinkled over the bed, add some vases of roses or other wedding flowers and a bottle of Champagne on ice!
3) If the bride and groom are very secretive about where they’re staying, they clearly don’t want any interference, so respect their privacy and stay away!
