Q.

I am planning my wedding and want to know if wearing a black suit with a hot pink cravat  and hot pink waistcoat is a good combination with a white shirt.

A.

It’s a good idea if you and your bride think it’s a good idea, and from my perspective, for a bright hot-pink themed wedding, this combination could work, as the black suit and white shirt will tone down the pink enough, though, as hot pink is such a strong and vibrant shade. If, however, you feel it’s still a little too much pink for you to wear, just go with the hot pink cravat and wear a more subtle neutral colour such as dove grey for your waistcoat instead. Your bride may want to dress her bridesmaids in the same dove grey and accessorise their outfits with hot pink wraps or sashes to match. Then for the reception tables there’s a whole range of gorgeous hot pink decorations to choose from like these stylish topiary tree centrepieces. Go wild!
