Q.

I am getting married at the end of October in Florida on the beach. My colour scheme is navy blue for one adult bridesmaid with two little ones in off-white.  My dress is ivory and the men will be dressed in silver. I need your help with decorations for the tables as I’m struggling to decide on a centrepiece.

A.

Navy blue and silver look stunning together, like stars in a night sky. This is a very sophisticated look and works well with white, off-white and ivory. You could go for a pretty white topiary tree centrepiece, surrounded by navy floating candles and silver star table confetti. Alternatively go for a striking tall silver flower jug and fill it with fresh white or silk navy blooms (silk flowers are wonderful and can be used again after the wedding) or a vintage style white cake stand on which you could place beach theme iced cupcakes with each guest’s name iced on in navy, finished with silver sparkles! Navy cameras and navy napkins will co-ordinate too. And for pretty favour keepsakes these navy and white glass jars are perfect for a beach theme or  these silver love heart boxes can be filled with navy blue foil-wrapped sweets. For that finishing touch add in some real ‘pizazz’ with these silver sparklers when it’s time for dessert!
