Why are some make up artists so expensive? I have been quoted £150 for me and a bridesmaid incuding trials and £65 for the same at another shop. Both are travelling to my venue about 2 miles away. Is this about right? Never had make up done before so unsure of the costs.
The difference in price will most likely be down to the experience and qualifications of the make up artist. If they have formal qualifications and have been hired for film and TV work they will be more sought after and able therefore to charge higher prices that clients will happily pay. The cheaper make up artist may be less qualified but you might love what he/she does so it’s important to book a trial to ensure you find a make up artist who makes you look just the way you want to look.
