If you’re looking for the perfect wedding shoes then look no further. This year’s summer bridal shoes are a gorgeous array of delicate strappy high heels, vintage inspired styles and beautiful barefoot sandals. Here’s my pick of the best in ivory leather, satin and lace.
There are some gorgeous summer bridal shoes in the latest collection from Pronovias; peep-toe styles with crossover straps, sling backs and feminine bows. Many of the shoes are mid-height heels so they’re comfortable enough to be worn all day. With heels at elegant angles to flatter ankles and give the appearance of longer, slender legs, these shoes are simply to die for and can be worn again after your big day.

Vintage style shoes
There’s a definite 1950’s feel to the collections around today, with their cute peep-toes to reveal perfectly painted toenails, and delicate sling-backs to draw attention to shapely ankles. Alongside the retro styles is a 1970’s disco diva feel with platforms for added height.
If platforms are not your style then these lace shoes are delicate and feminine. Long ivory lace-up boots make a gorgeous statement below a short, ivory lace dress for a stylish 1960’s look. These pale pink lace shoes are ultra feminine hidden below the under skirts of a full skirted ballgown while the white lace peep-toes would look gorgeous below a 1950’s style tea-length dress. And for something seriously eye-catching, these pink shoes with lace overlay by Rainbow Club will make a real statement.
If you love to sparkle then these are for you, and there are two ways of wearing them. The Charlotte barefoot sandal, below, is encrusted with hundreds of tiny diamante crystals, arranged into a floral design that can be worn with shoes or simply on bare feet. Ideal for beach weddings or for anyone who wants to add a little extra sparkle in an unusual way.
Lastly, here’s a modern idea that is also very practical – offer flip flops to all your guests to change into during the evening reception so they can dance the night away in comfort. Wedding flip flops are not just for beach weddings, they’re a great addition to all wedding receptions and, just like wedding favours, a little something your guests can take home with them to wear again too.
