When you think winter wedding, you think bridal coats, shrugs, shawls and capes – anything to keep the chill at bay before your moment arrives. Feminine, sexy and warm are the attributes of a perfect winter wedding accessory. It’s easy to find a lovely snugly fake fur bolero on the high street, or you could go for something a little more dramatic. Here are a few that caught our eye.

A floor length fur-trimmed coat is a dramatic way to go. Leave it to some rather hot detailing by Justin Alexander (pictured above) to really give us something to get excited about.

As well as keeping the chill off your back, bridal jackets look particularly stunning with certain dress styles, such as this Doris Day-like number from Ian Stuart (above right). Very Audrey Hepburn! If you like the fur but don’t fancy a hooded cape or coat, accessorise with a sweet fake fur muffler to keep your hands snug, or a funky cropped fur jacket to keep you warm as well as looking super stylish.

If you don’t fancy a long-sleeved jacked, go for a cute little cape to keep the wind off. Rainbow Club’s capes (pictured above left) are just adorable. Make sure the jacket you buy suits the shape of your dress. If there is detailing on the back of your dress then the last thing you want is to detract from the main focus. Classic simple shapes, however, will really benefit from a neat-framed bolero such as one by Linzi Jay (above left).
