I have a black and red dress with smart black jacket and accessories. Would it be considered rude to wear this to a wedding?

I don't think this is rude at all. In fact, it sounds very smart. A lot of ladies are opting to wear more evening dresses to weddings now, the majority of which seem to be black or dark colours.
For a daytime wedding, perhaps the key is to team black with one other colour (as you are) so that it doesn't look funereal.
