Emma's answers to Seating the Minister
Question
I'm having my wedding in Scotland and we've invited the minister and his wife. Is it traditional to seat the minister at the top table?
Answer
Sitting the minister and his wife on the top table is no longer a tradition that people tend to follow.
Instead, couples tend to place the vicar/minister and partner with close family relatives like grandparents or aunts and uncles. As long as you place them with people you think they will get on with there won't be any problems.
