Emma's answers to Waterfall wedding outfit
Question
We're getting married in a remote part of the Isle of Skye, by waterfalls in the foothills of the Cuillin Hills. Now my biggest concern is over what to wear. It is certainly NOT a white flowing dress affair. But then again hiking boots and rough gear don't seem appropriate either. We will have to walk a fairly rough track of about one mile to get to the waterfalls. Any inspiring ideas?
Answer
So - you have two main choices.
1. Take/carry an outfit with you that you can quickly change in to when you get there.
2. Wear your outfit to walk in.
If the first option is possible (ie, you can have a quick change up there), it might enable you to wear something a little more elegant - certainly prettier shoes! However you will have to take something that won't crease and isn't too bulky to carry. Maybe a lightweight dress and sandals?
For the second option, have you thought about visiting a couple of designer stores and looking at their almost combat safari type outfits? You can find some lovely tailored trousers with pretty camisole tops, or casual skirts that would be easy to walk in.
