My husband and I got married in Southern Ireland on 4th May 2001, which is effectively abroad. Do I need to register my marriage in London where we live?
Answer
Providing that you have filled out all the correct forms before your wedding then the place that you married will automatically register you. To double check that they have, just contact your nearest births, deaths and marriages office.
