Can you give me any help with the wording that I can put on my WEDDING RECEPTION invites....? I'm getting married in Florida on 5th December and am holding a reception when I get home on 24th. I have had a look through your site and can't seem to find anything for this type of thing.

Answer

For a reception following a marriage that has already taken place, where the marriage was overseas, for example, the following wording be appropriate

Mr. & Mrs. Jeremy Smythe
request the pleasure
of your company at a reception
following the marriage
of their daughter
Lynsey Katherine
to
Mr. Michael John Williams
at The Savoy Hotel, London,
on Saturday 11th September
at 6 o'clock.
