Emma's answers to Black tie for a four year old

Question

I'm a bridesmaid in July. The wedding is in Italy, starts at 6pm and is black tie. What should my four year old son wear?

Answer

As you are a bridesmaid, I assume you have a close relationship with the bride, in which case, I would certainly suggest you give her a call and ask her advice. If there are likely to be other young children attending then you can find out what they will be wearing and then at least you know what is expected. If black tie is appropriate, you will probably find that a
jacket is not essential. Most children's clothes shops will be able to supply a dress shirt and bow tie, try BHS, Marks & Spencer or your local
bridal shop.

If you want to hire a complete dinner suit, several formal hire shops can provide suits for young children try www.youngs-hire.com who stock boys evening suits and have shops throughout the UK.
