Question

My nephew will be four when I get married and I've asked him to be my pageboy. I'm not sure what his role should be. I thought that asking him to carry a ring cushion would be quite nice. Could you help me please?

Answer

I think the most important thing to remember is to be flexible - whatever job you give him now he might not want to do on the day! The idea of giving him the cushion to carry is fine as this is something he can practise at home. It might be an idea to appoint one of your bridesmaids to keep an eye on him on the day.

Unless he is a very shy 4 year old he should be fine and enjoy his role as much as you will love having him be a part of your special day.
