Emma's answers to Making confetti
I'd like to use fresh flower petals for my confetti but I'm not sure how to collect or store the petals. I've tried freezing them but that doesn't work.
It's probably best to use rose petals. Remove the petals as soon as possible, (before they open) and store in a container in the freezer. On the day of the wedding take them out and if desired spray them lightly with your favourite scent.
It's a lovely idea to use your own petals, but worth bearing in mind that if you buy petals they are generally professionally freeze-dried and therefore keep their colour and shape very well.
