Emma's answers to What side do we have to be on?

Question

We are having a traditional wedding in our local church. I know that when entering the church, I should be on my Father's right arm. What happens when the wedding party leave the church after the ceremony - should I be on my new husband's left or right arm?

Answer

When you leave the church you should walk on you husband's left arm. Walking behind you should be your father and your mother-in-law, then your mother and your father in law, then the best man and bridesmaids.

Your vicar will go through all this with you at your wedding rehearsal.
