Emma's answers to Minimum age for a witness

Question

Please can you tell me if there is an minimum age for a witness at a civil ceremony?

Answer

There is no age limit to be a witness at a civil ceremony. However the witness does have to be old enough to understand what's going on and to sign their name, therefore the youngest age preferred is early teens.
