Emma's answers to Special wedding vows

Can you give us some advice on Wedding Vows for our civil ceremony? We would like some special words but we're not quite sure what to put down on paper. We don't want to be too slushy but want to say the right things to each other.

Answer

It's always best to write from the heart - this is your chance to make all your promises to your partner and have everyone witness how much you love him and how much he means to you. Make promises to him, like you promise to love him forever and always be by his side. If he ever needs someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on you'll be there. Talk about your life together, all your hopes and dreams for the future and how you can't wait to start living these times with him. The most important thing to remember is that these promises and declarations come from you and in your words, that they come from the heart and are said with love and feeling.
