Emma's answers to Wedding licence

Question

We are getting married in our local village church. We have seen the vicar once to talk about what we need to do but nothing was mentioned about getting the marriage licence. Do we have to go to the register office for this?

Answer

If you're marrying in a church, you don't need to visit a register office. All the paper work is done for you by your vicar. The only thing you will need to do is attend the church for the reading of the banns but your vicar will explain this to you.
