Emma's answers to My ushers won't wear kilts

Question

My fiancée and I are getting married next August, and my best-man and I will both be wearing kilts and prince Charlie jackets. The other male members of the wedding party don't want to wear a kilt. Do you have any suggestions?

Answer

How about tartan trews? Most kilt hire shops also do a range of outfits using trousers instead of kilts.

If even that is too much for your ushers, why not dress them in suits, either morning suits, or frock coats and accessorise with a tartan waistcoat or tie/cravat?

When they see how the ladies gravitate towards the men in kilts, I bet they'll wish they'd worn one!
