Emma's answers to Good and bad dates

Question

Are there lucky and unlucky dates when getting married similar to the superstitious Friday 13th etc? I once remember reading a poem about the days of the week when getting married.

Answer

I think that the poem you refer to is:
Monday for wealth
Tuesday for health
Wednesday the best of all
Thursday for crosses
Friday for losses
Saturday for no luck at all

With regards to dates etc. I have never heard of any particular date being unlucky. However I do suggest that, before you name the date, you consider what's on and when, allowing you to book a date that will be free in everyone's diaries. After all it would be pretty unlucky to book your wedding on the day of a football world cup, for example! Getting married on your birthday is meant to bring good luck (though that's probably because it just means he'll only have one important date to remember, instead of two!)
