Emma's answers to Black and ivory bridesmaids?

I have just been shopping with 5 of my adult bridesmaids. I want to buy them a dress they can wear again, we have seen a lovely dress in Coast, its the Miss Taylor Dress. The dress suits everyone (they are size 8-16) but the problem i have is they are black and white and I'm wearing a fishtail dress in Ivory! Would the white and Ivory look odd? (I am having white flowers) What do you think?

Thank you for your email and apologies for the late reply. My initial feeling, on seeing the dress, is that it's not ideal alongside your ivory wedding dress. If you love it then there are ways of making it look right and holding a bouquet of white flowers will certainly help. You could have the bridesmaids hold small posies of ivory/cream flowers and consider getting them each an ivory wrap, shrug or pashmina to go over the bridesmaid's dresses which would tie in with your dress, cover their shoulders during the ceremony and keep them warm in the evening.Mixing white and ivory is not ideal though so I would recommend either wearing a white wedding dress or finding new bridesmaids dresses.
