A little further from home, New York is another fantastic destination for those lucky ladies who have a little more cash to part with. Go for glam with Sex and the City style and enjoy a few days of shopping, exploring and hitting the best bars in town.
Jump on the Eurostar and head to Paris for a cultural couple of days. Accommodation is abundant and can be very reasonable, so this needn’t be a costly adventure. Then again, you could choose to stay at the George V, the Hotel de Crillon or the Plaza Athenee for complete and utter luxury. Wander the streets of Paris, stroll around the Louvre, enjoy delicious cuisine and shop designer style. Careful… you might not want to come home.
A super‐stylish city in which to celebrate with your closest friends. With eight kilometres of sandy beaches, late opening bars and great shopping, you’re sure to have some fun. And, of course, fabulous architecture and an abundance of museums will help you keep your culture levels high.
Summer is the time when Edinburgh really comes alive. Visit in August if you want to make the most of the festival, and enjoy everything Edinburgh has to offer, from fabulous scenery to wonderful restaurants and great nightlife.
Pack your bags and jump on the Eurostar to Brussels where you can sit in cosy bars enjoying moules, frites, beer… and of course chocolate. The Grand Place, a wide‐open cobbled medieval square of elegant guildhouses, is one of the main attractions in Brussels. In the summer, it is packed with bar terraces, a flower market and a constant stream of concerts and open‐air events, including the famous Tapis de Fleurs in August when one million Begonias are fashioned into a rich carpet of colour. Designer boutiques and quirky cafes can be found on elegant cobbled side streets ‐‐the perfect destination for the ladies.
You really don’t need to head overseas to enjoy a fabulous hen party, although the bright lights of London might not be everyone’s choice. For a more relaxing event, consider heading to one of the many spas and health farms around the UK. Look out for special offers and packages for larger groups and enjoy a few days of pampering. Alternatively, head for a country cottage and enjoy cosy evenings around the fire and rambling countryside walks.
Worth a mention on its own, Brighton has something to offer all hen parties. Those looking for a quieter celebration could enjoy some pampering at The Grand hotel, along with walks on the beach and a spot of shopping. For those looking for something more lively, Brighton has plenty to offer in terms of nightlife, and contemporary accommodation at Hotel du Vin ‐‐ never a dull moment.
If you haven’t done it by now… it’s probably time to experience Ibiza. Ibiza Town is for the more upmarket hen party and is something of a fashion mecca with its abundance of glamorous yachts. And, of course, San Antonio is a clubbers’ paradise. If you fancy the best of both worlds, base yourself somewhere relaxing and pretty, and spend a couple of nights partying.
Sunshine please! If you’re looking to top up the tan before the wedding, jet off to Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote or Fuerteventura. Unless you’re seriously unlucky, you’ll enjoy a fabulous climate, and you should be able to have a week on the beach with a few fun nights out without breaking the bank.
