Mini eggs are the epitome of an Easter colour scheme. Gorgeous sugary pastel shades of blue, green, yellow, pink and purple. Don’t stick to one colour, mix and match and throw in some polka dot and floral prints to reflect the spring season.

Tulips and daffodils are the most iconic blooms of spring, however there are many gorgeous flowers in season in April. With a variety of sizes, shapes and colours, it gives you the opportunity to create some really striking floral designs for your Easter wedding.

Alstromeria, cornflower, delphinium, gerbera, freesia, iris, peonies, rose, snap dragon and sunflower are just a few of your options!

The natural, rustic style of an Easter wedding lends itself to a do-it-yourself approach and we have that covered too! We can supply you with twine, ribbons, feathers, stickers, labels, stamps and charms to name just a few of the perfect finishing touches for your handmade accessories.

Pick a venue which is beautiful on the inside and out! A beautiful garden, full of blooming spring flowers is the perfect back drop for pre-wedding breakfast drinks in the sun. However, bear in mind that Easter is prime ‘April shower’ season, so have somewhere, where your guests can take cover in case the heavens open.

If you’re wanting to keep to Easter tradition, the Simnal cake (a light fruit cake covered in marzipan) offers a twist on the traditional wedding cake. If this isn’t to your taste, you can never go wrong with a chocolate cake! Top it off with Easter eggs or beautiful pastel coloured flowers. Alternatively a ‘naked’ cake draped in fresh fruit and flowers oozes spring time!

Food & Drink

There is so much fabulous seasonal produce available in April, to offer your guests a truly decadent Easter feast. Succulent lamb is the meat of choice and is accompanied perfectly with seasonal greens such as broccoli, spinach and new potatoes. For a vegetarian option opt for crunchy asparagus and soft little quails eggs to continue that Easter egg theme. If you are lucky enough to live by the sea, lobster, crab, salmon and whitebait are some of the most delicious options the ocean has to offer at this time of the year. Wash this all down with chilled homemade lemonade and seasonal fruit cocktails!
