Escape on a romantic getaway
Check out the galleries in Paris, sip coffee at the canal-side cafes of Amsterdam, or go to a place that means something to you as a couple. It needn’t be ridiculously exotic or expensive: if it’s the bench in the park where you first kissed, that’ll do just fine.
Spend a night in a castle
Complete the fairytale romance of the day by checking in to one of the many castle hotels dotted around the country.
Have a picnic
You may think it’s too cold for a picnic, but the great thing is picnics can be had anywhere – from your living room to a train (preferably the Eurostar!). Or just wrap up warm and snuggle up close on a blanket in the park.
Hire a limo
Make your valentine feel really special by treating them to a trip around town in a limousine. And don’t forget the bubbly…
Book a spa treatment for two
De-stress and feel intimate with a joint massage session. You’ll end up looking and smelling great and probably in a very good mood too…
More romantic ideas
• Check out a theatre or film you know your partner’s been dying to see.
• Splash out on an expensive meal at a romantic restaurant.
• Go for a moonlit walk together.
