By sheer luck in January 2003.
I am 27 and Will is 26.
Officially on Valentine’s Day 2003 – five weeks after we met!
Yes, Will went to Brighton with his friends and I went for a meal and clubbing with my friends in my local town.
He helped me right from start to finish. He was brilliant!
Yes, I used it from the very beginning on the recommendation of another friend who was also getting married!
My mum and dad brought us some balloons/cake topper/ other bits and pieces online just prior to the wedding and we also brought confetti wedding insurance!
My dress was ‘Julie’ by Maggie Sottero – I loved it as soon as I put it on!
I had two bridesmaids, My sister, Emma, and my friend, Fiona, who both wore two piece lilac dresses encrusted with crystals around the bodice and were made by Alfred Angelo.
The best man was Markie and our ushers were Stuart and Karl and they both wore traditional morning dress.
Church ceremony with a C of E service.
Ifield Church in Crawley.
Cottesmore Golf and Country Club.
We had a Rolls Royce and a Daimler which were so much fun!
We had 40 to the sit down and I honestly couldn’t tell you how many came to the evening, a lot more then we had anticipated! But it was a great evening!
We kept our theme to lots of roses and flowers and our colours were ivory and lilac.
Hand tied bouquets of lilac and cream roses and lilac fresh scattered petals in lilac and ivory.
Yes, ivory sugared almonds in lilac drawstring bag- we kept it very simple.
We used a family friend who owns her own florist shop and I had a tear drop shape bouquet and the bridesmaids had hand held bouquets -all lilac and ivory roses with ivy and freesias -the theme was kept the same throughtout even with our tables.
Our venue catered and we had melon and fruit for starter followed by traditional roast chicken and veg, with vegetarian options – and for dessert we had summer fruits pudding -which in the end -after much umming and aahing was the best choice for us, as it was a very hot day and was very refreshing!
Again another family friend made the cake, a traditional four tier wedding cake made of rich fruit -with fresh flowers between each layer.
During the evening we had a disco.
Yes with Debenhams.
At the venue and our honeymoon was booked with Virgin Holidays.
All of it to be honest! The most romantic was walking up the aisle. I think every bride would agree!
Yes, my hairdresser had a nut allergy and couldn’t do my hair! Luckily I had a back up!
I wouldn’t do anything differently. It was the most amazing day of my life!
