We met in Loughborough whilst I was on a night out with my friends.
24 and 27
He proposed to me on 23rd May 2007 in Barbados whilst we were on holiday, it was a total surprise! He took me to a gorgeous restaurant by the sea which is where he proposed
Craig went to Bratislava for the weekend and dressed up as super heroes and I went to London for the weekend and went cocktail making and dressed up as Moulin Rouge
Yes I did use the website and found lots of ideas
Yes I bought my wedding favours from you – top hats for the men and handbags for the ladies
My dress was from Grace Couture and the designer was Toi Couture, Italy. My dress was champagne and the bodice was very fitted with cups in a vintage style with a tulle bottom.
I had 4 bridesmaids, my 3 sisters and my friend, they all had long fitted straight dresses with fishtail bottoms from Kelsey Rose
Craig chose his brother Gavin to be best man and 3 of his close friends to be ushers, they all wore brown tailcoats with champagne swirl waistcoats
Colwick Hall, Nottingham
Colwick Hall, Nottingham
My uncle drove me in his Rolls Royce Phantom which was amazing
We had 66 guests in the day and then a further 45 in the evening
My flowers were roses with butterflies and pearls so I tried to keep the theme throughout with my cake also having handmade roses.
I had tall vases on the tables with balls of roses and tall candle sticks with mocha coloured runners and mirrored tiles with tea lights
Yes handbags filled with mini eggs for the ladies and top hats for the men
My florist was Pam Gibson of Nottingham. My flowers were hand tied bouquets of roses for all of us and tall glass vases for the tables with balls of roses on top with butterflies and pearls inside the vases
We had melon and smoked salmon to start, lamb shank and raspberry pavlova and the venue handled the catering
We had a 4 tiered wedding cake with champagne pink icing and handmade roses. We had jam sponge, carrot cake and chocolate cake
We had a saxophonist to play during the ceremony and afterwards and a DJ and singer in the evening
We requested Kuoni travel vouchers towards our honeymoon
Our first night was at Colwick Hall Hotel and our honeymoon was in the Maldives booked with Kuoni
Walking down the aisle and seeing everyone’s faces it was amazing!
No surprisingly everything went to plan
Don’t spend too much on the little things as people don’t notice as much and try and be as organised as possible
