We were in Rome for our 3 year anniversary. On our first night there we went to the Trevi fountain to find a restaurant for dinner. I’m of italian origin and had spoken of how beautiful the Trevi fountain was at night. Whilst sat in a corner of the fountain he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him ‐ in Italian. Laurence doesn’t speak Italian but asked his friend from university who studied Italian to teach him the phrase.
