How and when did you meet?

1995 in Richmond, down by the river on a summer’s evening.

How old are you both?

I am 33 and Andy is 30.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?

I proposed in Florida on the Key coast in a speed boat. We were near a bird sanctuary island, where the dolphins were swimming and the sun was hot; it was June 7th 1997 – Andy’s birthday.

Did you have hen and stag celebrations?

The hen night was at an authentic Spanish tapas restaurant in Weybridge, Surrey and then on to a bar in St George’s Hill. The stag night was a pub crawl in Kingston, then onto a table dancing club in Twickenham.

Did your groom help you with the wedding planning?

He organised himself, the best man and the ushers.

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?

Do you have a confetti web page?

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?

I bought on line and mail order.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it.

The dress is by Caroline Castigliano and is a Champagne colour. It is raw silk and very ‘fairytale’, with pink diamantes and cream pearls on the fitted bodice, a tie-up back and is off the shoulder with a long train. I bought the dress from Twist in Thames Ditton.

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?

I had four adult bridesmaids and a flower girl. I bought the dresses from Monsoon and they were hot pink, off the shoulder and knee-length with lots of flowing chiffon. The flower girl’s dress was made at Love Me Do Brides in Walton-on-Thames and that design was Panto dress with butterfly wings.

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?

They were kitted out at Dappers in Esher, in black suits and hot pink cravats. The groom wore a pin-stripe Hugo boss suit.

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?

A Religious ceremony.

Where did you hold your ceremony?

In St. Mary’s church by the river in Sunbury-on-Thames.

Where did you hold your reception?

Savill Court, Egham.

Did you have any special wedding transport?

We had two 1940′s old Fords, which looked like something out of Bugsy Malone.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?

We had 65 guests to the wedding and a separate evening list.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?

Yes, we had a fairy theme with a pink colour scheme.

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?

I bought sparkly butterflies, place cards and table cards with names of fairies and fairy places.

Did you give your guests favours?

Yes, ladies were given Tinkerbell cards and lip gloss from Rock and the men were given lottery tickets in scrolls.

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?

My bouquet was Lisianthums with green leaves and hot pink feathers in between; the bridesmaids all had posies. The tables were orchids sitting in pink water in tall vases and large feathers. The flowers were by Iris Bloomfield in Staines.

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?

To start, we had salmon roulade, followed by a main course of fillet of beef, followed by a dessert of milk and white chocolate mousse. The venue did the catering.

What did you choose for your wedding cake?

My wedding cake was in the shape of a castle, made by Sara Gunn, based in Whitton.

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?

Day time was a couple called Sax and Honey who played jazz. The evening was a disco.

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?

In Greece, a 5-star resort called Porto Sani Village. I booked my honeymoon online with the resort.

What was your most memorable moment of the day?

The ceremony, exchanging vows.

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?

Enjoy the day; take your time to organise it and try to spend a few moments together as husband and wife on the day.
