We met by moving into the same block of flats on the same day, i lived directly below!
im 22 and nicks 23
he was at work for about an hour when i got a text saying ;will you marry me x’ he was too shy to ask me face to face!
our stag and hen do’s were the usual dress up, look silly and drink wayyyy too much!lol
urrmmmm, he booked the car?!
i used confetti for loads of ideas on the pretty little touches
we brought cameras
i wasnt 100% sure on my dress untill the day, i brought it from my fav bridal shop in shoreham-by-sea, it was from the forever yours collection, my veil was borrowed and my tiara was made by my mum as she makes bridal jewellery
my bridesmaid was my sister and the flower girls were my step daughters megan and rebecca and the youngest was our daughter lucie
his best man was his mate dan and his ushers and pageboys were my brother shane, dans son callum, our son anthony and my cousins little boy lucais
Lancing methodist church
lancing parish hall
i had a gorgeous car picked by my now hubby!
we had around 50 in the day and another 20 in the evening
burgundy, roses, ivory, butterflies and a touch of gold
we had burgundy petals with our centrepieces
we had a massive sweet table
burgundy and ivory roses
we had a buffet cooked for us and tons left over!
a local cake lady made our cake and my mum decorated it for us
we had a dj, my grandad singing (hes brill) and my aunt sang our first dance song
we stayed in a lovely cottage b&b then a week later went on honeymoon in cornwall for a week
all of it, it was just perfect
yes, the cake was terrible! it wasnt stacked properly and was so dry no-one ate it! o and the bridesmaid dress suddenly had a massive stain on it which ment a last minute dash for a new one!
just do it your way, if your working on a budget then remember that there is nearly always a cheaper way to do things, like flowers, normally artificial is cheaper, bridesmaids dresses from ebay, haggle for everything, look for bulk deals for suits etc (dont use youngs hire!) and generally look around before buying anything, also family skills are a great money saver!
