We met in 2002.
My hen party was fancy dress and I was dressed in a green wedding dress while everyone else dressed as nurses. We went for a Chinese meal and then out clubbing.
Mark and the boys had a night out.
Yes, I used Confetti for the planning tools, they were very helpful
Yes, I bought my chocolates for the favours, a guest book & album, confetti for the tables, place cards and many other pieces, all bought online.
I wore a Bonny bridal gown in white with baby blue beads and sequins on the bodice and skirt of the dress. I purchased it from The Wedding Barn in Appleby, Cumbria.
Yes, we had 3 bridesmaids: my two close friends, Kerry and Lindsay and my cousin Emma; they all wore dresses from Veromia in a baby blue with beading to the bodices.
Mark chose his friend, Trevor as best man and my brother Gary was an usher; they all wore three-quarter length suits with waist coats with a navy spot and navy ruche ties, all from Tom Little Menswear.
We had a civil ceremony.
The ceremony was held in a gazebo in the grounds of Hunday Manor Hotel in Workington, Cumbria.
The reception was held at Hunday Manor Hotel, Workington, Cumbria.
We had 110 guests.
The theme was blue, silver and ivory.
We had silver candle stands, ivory candles and candle rings with blue flowers and beads, blue and silver table confetti and blue and ivory balloons in the centre of each table.
Yes, we gave favours: they were ivory cone-shaped boxes with a baby blue rose and personalised ribbon with silver foil hearts inside.
My bouquet was made of ivory lilies with silver coils around the outside. The bridesmaids carried posies made of ivory roses with three baby blue roses in all. The flowers were silk and the florist was Decaflora.
The venue provided the catering, we had vegetable soup, and then roast turkey, followed by a strawberry pavlova.
Our wedding cake was a three-tier stacked cake with lilies and baby blue roses; it was provided by Crown Celebrations.
We had a disco in the evening.
We had a gift list with Argos.
We spent our first night at the hotel; we didn’t have a honeymoon.
It was all very memorable but probably the first dance was the most memorable.
No, everything ran really smoothly.
