Same element signs
Normally each sign gets along easily with the other signs in the same element. So Aries should be fine with the other Fire signs: Leo and Sagittarius. However, ease is not necessarily a good thing. One of the secrets of a successful relationship is to have enough in common, but also enough that is different.
The element of Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Typically, the Fire type is an upbeat, enthusiastic, warm and inspirational kind of person. Often a leader and one who lives in the future, the fire person is a child at heart. You two big kids may enjoy a fun, playful, fast-paced lifestyle. The envy of your friends, you inspire them with your enthusiasm, vitality and general ‘get up and go’. You see life as one big game and consequently are great at just making things happen. However, your easy-come, easy-go philosophy can also mean that you are not afraid to take the kind of risks that can yield big dividends…but also on occasion, big losses.
Sparks fly right from the start with this exciting and somewhat volatile combination. These two will never be bored and will find all kinds of physically active things to do together. Highly competitive and individualistic by nature, neither will want to be dominated or bossed by anyone else, so there might be some arguments on who rules the roost. The Aries woman is proud, temperamental and headstrong and if the Aries man is willing to allow her independence, the relationship can be a wonderfully romantic and exciting one.
A positive and stimulating combination where Leo appreciates the drive of Aries and Aries is inspired by the largesse of Leo. Both are immensely proud, outgoing and inventive, but while Leo craves the affirmation of others, Aries doesn’t really care about other people’s opinions. The combination of the two planets, Mars and Sun, is a good one as it generates a great deal of energy, warmth and enthusiasm. The Fixed quality of Leo helps Aries to complete the projects they start, while the Cardinal quality of Aries is good to get Leo energised. Romantically, this is an excellent combination and it is particularly well-aspected for setting up a home and raising children.
This is an agreeable combination as both signs like freedom of expression. Aries will like the other’s expansiveness, while Sagittarius is unlikely to feel smothered in this relationship. Both are exuberant and enthusiastic with Aries’ competitiveness not being challenged by Sagittarius, who is tolerant and not threatened by it. The only possible down side of all that energy is that they may come up with plans that are too big or impractical and there may be delays. However, Sagittarius will always be on hand with a sense of humour and ready to expand Aries’ horizons, both physically, through traveling to faraway places, and mentally, through the world of ideas.
The element of Fire with Earth
Fire can help Earth to learn to take risks and take life less seriously and Earth can restrain Fire’s more outrageous and unrealistic impulses. At best, this combination can be great for business as well as personal relationships, with Fire providing the vision and enthusiasm necessary for any project, and Earth attending to the details and getting things organised. No prizes for guessing who will wash the dishes or change the nappies though.
The combination of Mars and Venus is symbolic of physical attraction but beyond that there are likely to be differences in personality. Aries is fast-moving, daring and impulsive, whereas Taureans tend to prefer a more steady and pragmatic approach. Aries wants everything done right now while Taurus likes to plan ahead. If both can understand the other’s temperament, then there is gain on both sides. Aries can bring a sense of excitement and adventure into Taurus’ life. On the other hand, Taurus can help Aries realise their goals with the lessons of patience, strong will and careful financial planning.
This is a challenging combination as the two natures are strongly contrasting. Meticulous Virgo, who likes attention to detail, may find Aries to be careless and somewhat selfish. On the plus side both have a desire for honesty and straightforwardness. For this to work, Aries has to appreciate Virgo’s practical nature and Virgo has to refrain from criticism and nit-picking. Once in a while, it wouldn’t hurt for Virgo to stop worrying and follow Aries’ example of being spontaneous and throwing caution to the wind.
Aries like to rush headlong into things while Capricorn likes to follow a more carefully planned out path. Aries soon forgives and forgets, whereas Capricorn can bear a grudge over a long period of time. On the plus side, both signs being Cardinal, they are not likely to be short on ambition or knowing exactly what they want out of life. There could be some degree of competitiveness, but if they agree on who handles what, this could be a highly rewarding and profitable partnership.
The element of Fire with Air
This can be a relationship with lots of laughter, fun and big ideas. It’s great for a couple involved in politics or education, but when it comes to running the house– will you both ever get anything done? Fire can teach Air to think big and to be more enthusiastic, while Air can encourage Fire to stop and think before embarking on a course of action.
Aries and Gemini are both witty, with a desire for variety and excitement. Gemini is attracted to the enthusiastic Aries, who in turn appreciates the fact that life can never be boring around a Gemini. Both like to flirt and are flighty, which is fine as long as they both agree that it is just lighthearted fun. Sometimes Aries could become a little impatient with Gemini’s endless talking and Gemini could dislike the tactless nature of Aries. On the whole these two are likely to find that their love of change and variety will keep them from ever getting tired of the other’s company.
These two signs are located exactly opposite each other in the zodiac and accordingly to the laws of magnetism – opposites attract. The fiery, impetuous Aries is drawn towards the charming, diplomatic Libra. The Mars and Venus combination means that there is plenty of physical sparks flying between the two. There is also a great deal that they can learn from each other: Aries teaches Libra to stand up for themselves, while Libra instructs Aries in the art of seeing things from another’s point of view. The challenge comes from Aries pushing Libra to make all the compromises in the relationship – to which Libra is willing, up to a point. Generally, this combination works somewhat better when the man is Aries and the woman is Libra, as they tend to fit more easily into the conventional roles assigned to the signs.
|Planet||Mars||Saturn and Uranus|
This combination has the feel of ‘school pal’ friendship, with their love of mischief and adventure. Aquarius will not dampen the enthusiasm of Aries and Aries, who loves trying out new things, will be attracted to the off-beat ways of Aquarius. Both are independent, active and lively. The only problems that could arise are from the unpredictability of Aquarius or the selfishness of Aries. However, both are frank and like to get to the heart of matters quickly.
The element of Fire with Water
This can be a volatile and passionate pairing, akin to being on an emotional roller-coaster. Fire may accuse Water of pouring cold water on their enthusiasm and Water may find Fire rather insensitive. On the plus side, Fire can show Water that the world is not such a scary place. Water may help Fire to grasp the concept of subtlety and to pay more attention to their feelings.
This Moon Mars combination can be a physically attractive one. On the emotional level Cancer’s nurturing and sentimental nature may find Aries’ independence and selfishness, somewhat difficult to deal with. Cancer is a homemaker who likes the security of its crab-like shell, while Aries is the adventurous Ram who wants to explore new meadows. However, both are Cardinal signs, therefore similarly ambitious. They could make a dynamic duo with Aries providing inventive energy and Cancer ensuring that the foundations are secure.
|Planet||Mars||Mars and Pluto|
With Mars ruling both these signs, the combination of Fire and Water can be hot and steamy indeed. Both are highly charged and the physical element in the relationship will never be lacking in passion. At times, Aries might find Scorpio’s intensity and need for closeness, almost too much to bear, while their partner’s selfish nature may annoy Scorpio. Aries is direct and straightforward, whereas there is something of the hidden detective about Scorpio. However, there is a great deal that is tantalizingly sensual and an air of mystery about this combination.
|Planet||Mars||Jupiter and Neptune|
This is an unusual combination as two completely different energies try to find a common ground on which to build a long-term relationship. The dreamy, gentle Pisces is from a different planet to the direct, assertive Aries. The self-sacrificing, giving nature of Pisces could be unintentionally taken advantage of by the somewhat self-absorbed Aries. They are, however, both incredibly romantic and this is something they may have in common. Aries can invigorate Pisces with their raw energy, while Pisces can offer Aries refuge in a soothing, healing sanctuary, away from the world of competing and achievement.
